We went out to the choir carols do at the pub - it was lovely, packed to the gills though! We had to share one chair, the children and I. The singing was lusty and the company was good. Hannah read a piece by Gervais Phinn (check out what I'm reading on this - there are details on here )), and she did it brilliantly!

Sam had obviously decided that he didn't want to go, so wasn't going to enjoy it, so stayed sulky all evening. Really annoyed me, and we had a blazing row on the way home. When I think of all the times I was dragged around, every week, to see elderly relatives and go to extremely tedious functions for 16 years - ooooh, he gets off so lightly. We go out of our way not to drag him around like that, we only take him to potentially fun things. It made me so cross! And he's not yet a teenager - a month to go!

Anyway, I've just been brought a cup of tea (isn't Phil good?), so I can calm down now and not rant. This is my week so far...

Monday - Work; training in the evening
Tuesday - Work, hopefully finished; haircut for me and Hannah
Wednesday-Friday - Out with Sue; coffee with Julie; last bits and pieces before Christmas

Not too bad is it? I bet it's all going to go horribly wrong...!
